Best of both worlds

Sydney is a taste of both European and American culture.  It has the best of the both worlds!  The roads are wide like the roads in United States. The archictecture of many buildings are elegant like the architecture in Europe, but the buildings are very modern.  There are also a few skyscrapers, but not too many as I can see the sky easily unlike in New York.  Everywhere I go, I’m at the edge of the land.  Waves splashes into the sands or against the cliff.  Sailboats floats along with the wind.  Leaves on the trees are very green.  The temperature at this time of the year is completely opposite of the temperture in US, in particular in the northern part!  It feels so weird to see Christmas decorations during the summer season!  In children’s Christmas books, it takes place in the snowy and cold setting, which is the way it is in the United States!

And oh!  The roads are just like London!  It drives me up the wall!  I’ve been opening the door to the driver’s seat thinking that I’m going into the passenger seat.  When I cross the road, I get so confused to which side I’m supposed to look first!

Soon to be heading for “the city of churches” as we seem to have become known – very pretty part I reckon – said without any bias at all *smile*

Glad you are enjoying Down Under so far….
