Exploring the Unknown…

Today was a free day.  I decided to use my day to explore the unknown areas by hopping on a ferry from Circular Quay, the central ferry area in Sydney.  I picked a random ferry route and boarded the ship.  I stopped at the very first stop, Double Bay.  This stop had nothing but boats and beach houses.  It was interesting to see another way of life in Sydney.

Half hour later, I hopped on the ship and went to the next stop.  This stop, Watson Bay, just had several restaurants and a very nice relaxing beach.  I noticed that this area was packed!  It seems to be a popular place for people to hang out on the weekends! What also amused me about this place was that there were boats lined up against the edge of the beach.  I wonder if this was done purposely or not?

Also, as I looked out at the beach, there was a beautiful skyline of the city.  What a grand view!

Then  I went back to Circular Quay, the central ferry area in the city.  I boarded on another ferry headed to the opposite direction.  The first area that I stopped was just a residential area filled with beautiful homes.  An hour later, I was at another stop which was another big harbor area, Darling Harbor.  This area is filled with shops, museums including an aquarium, and other touristy places.

Exploring the city without any plans is always exciting as I may see something that many tourists may not see such as the residential areas.
