Melbourne doesn’t seem to be so close to a beach as I see nothing but buildings, roads, and a river.  However, the beach is much closer than we may realize.  I just got on a tram, and the ride was only ten minutes from the city.  As I descended from the tram, I felt that I was in a very different place.  I was at St. Kilda.  There was a calm beach along with boutiques.  It’s a place where people can really escape from the city life to enjoy the relaxing environment.

There’s also a great boardwalk where people can enjoy walking and riding bikes.
