A day in downtown Adelaide

Naomi and I took a train to downtown Adelaide to browse in some shops and at a market.  Adelaide is just another big city in Australia with lots of tall buildings.  Like Melbourne, there is a river that goes through the city.  Right by the river, there is a big grassy area where people can just relax and have a picnic.  While there are several modern buildings, there are also lots of charming “neoclassicism” architure.

After browsing through some shops, we headed to a giant market where there are lots of vendors selling variety of food including fish, cheese, fruits, and vegetables.  It reminded me of my Saturday mornings at Apt in France. When I saw all those fresh bread, pastries, and cheese, I was starving like hell!  Naomi’s husband and her son, A, met us at the market, and we bought lots of yummy goodies for dinner.

As you can see from the photo, shopping at the market was a worthwhile as the dinner was SOOO GOOD!
