I stepped into this beautiful brown wardrobe. Once I stepped into it, I entered into one of the most breathtaking land I’ve ever seen. Blankets of snow are everywhere! They’re white and shiny as they can be! I was just on the magical land of Narnia!
Of course, I was just using my imagination, but that’s how I seriously felt when I went to Whistler, city that is two hours outside of Vancouver, today.
As someone who was coming from a charming southern state where snow hardly exists, being on a mountain packed full of snow was a surreal moment for me. Everywhere I went was a photographic moment for me.
Not only experiencing a whole new strange land was incredible, but also seeing the ski culture was unreal. Everywhere I walked, I was surrounded by people carrying ski or snowboards over their backs or people walking with ski on their feet. I felt so envious as I wanted to ski with them, but I sure do need some training first. Hopefully I’ll be able to do that one day!
Whistler is well-known ski resort that has been recognized by numerous magazines including Conde Nast. Whistler will host most of the alpine and sledding events during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
