Yesterday Afternoon – Random Places

Now, I know that you may wonder what I did yesterday afternoon since I spent only ONE damn hour at those museums. Yes, I am still PISSED off! At least I’ll be in Paris for another 10 days after my group leaves. We went to the Latin Quatier, a very popular area for young people. There are lots of cute little boutiques. I got an ice cream finally! The french ice cream are the best. Well, I actually didn’t really get a french ice cream. I got the italian vanillla galato and it was delicious! I know that the ice cream is very fattening, but I am walking a lot!! Hundred million times more than I do in United States. The Americans are the laziest people that I have ever known. They rely on cars too much. The French people rely on walking and that’s how the American lives should be and that would solve the obsesity problem in US! Although, according to my host family, that problem is just beginning to exist in France! There are McDonalds on every courner in Paris and of course the French are not too happy that the Americans are spreading their culture rapidly! Come on Americans, can we please stop spreading our bad culture??

My group also saw La Sarbonne University. It’s one of the most well known university in Europe and this university attracts people from all around the world. Many Americans go there to study abroad. The area where La Sarboone is, is where many of the student protests occurred. Remember the news that Paris had a few months ago – the government wanted to change the law about the jobs for the young people.
