Just love the impressionist period!

Did you know that Renoir, Manet, Sissley, and Monet were all great friends ? They all started the impressionist period. Believe or not, at first, people did not like the impressionist artwork at all, and many of the greatest impressionist painters, especially Van Gogh, hid their paintings for years or even until their death. Now, their artworks are incredibly well known and they’re at the best museums in the world, including Musée d”Orsay. I went back to Musée d’Orsay and spent FOUR hours there! It’s a fantastic museum with great artwork from late 19th century to 20th century. A huge number of impressionist painters’ artworks, including Monet’s painting of the garden with the bridge, are there! Edgar Degas’ and Mary Cassatt’s paintings are also there too! All of their paintings make me feel that I am inside their paintings, especially the scenery paintings such as the countryside and the villages. They make me dream to live in those places. Many of them are located in France! Obviously, that’s how I fell in love with France! This museum also has a fabulous collection of sculptures too. I’m amazed that the sculptures can sculpt the details of the clothing, the hair, and the body movements. I would put this museum as a higher priority to visit than Musée Louvre
