After all those years of seeing a magnificent architectural piece in textbooks in Art History classes and doing some research on it for a research paper that I did a year ago, I finally got to see a massive Baroque cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral. This cathedral is dedicated to St. Paul, obviously. The architecture is just absolutely stunning and has very distinct elements of Baroque art. There are lots of curvy lines and swirls in the design which is a typical element of Baroque art. Inside the cathedral, there are lots of gold lines which gives the interior a stunning appearance. The interior part of the dome is absolutely astonishing. I felt like I was looking through a kaleidoscope as I was looking at the dome. This cathedral is so big that I had to go through a maze to find a restroom!
