When I was creating my itinerant for Paris, I NEVER thought that there would be a big serious event during the days that I’m in Paris. As my family and I were walking towards Champs-Eylsees, we came across a HUGE vehicle with a huge tower and this machine that lifts a camera man into the air. As we were walking down the sidewalk, there were people lining up against the fences, and they were holding flags. All kinds of vehicles decorated in advertisements were flying down the road.
At first, I thought what the heck is going on at that moment? I asked a random person, and he said that Tour de France was happening. Oh my gosh! We stopped every few blocks thinking that the bike riders were approaching close and waited for a few minutes with hopes that we would catch the bike marathon. However, it was just tooooo hot to sit and wait for the bike riders to arrive. So, we continued to head to Champs-Eylsees.
As we were heading there, we got hit by closed roads and sidewalks. So, we had to make several BIG detours. Then, we realized that Champs-Elysees was the FINISHING point and that the crowd over there was going to be WORST! So, we decided to go to Champs-Elysees another day and head to the Eiffel Tower.
