Impressionist paintings are just stunningly gorgeous.  They give me the feeling of calmness and relaxing.  When I look at those images, I always feel the need to jump inside that painting so that I can have a lovely vacation in the countryside or by the lake or by the beach.  Colors are magnificent in these paintings.  In fact, impressionist painters mainly focused on the colors and light.  It’s obvious as while the brushstrokes are not clean and the paintings don’t look photographic, the choice of colors are magnificent and the choice of lighting is incredible.

Musee d”Orsay is known for its incredible collection of impressionist paintings.  While this was my third trip to Musee d’Orsay, I took this trip as a different approach since I have now studied art history.  Now I understand why the impressionist paintings are worth being recognized in the world.  I also understand the elements and the principle of designs in these paintings.  As, I said, color and light played the important role in these paintings.
