Tonight, the entire Maublanc family and the entire Chaikof family met together for dinner at the Maublancs.  It was an incredible opportunity for my family to meet the family with whom I stayed for the past two summers and I always have a ball.  The kids and I spent hours chatting together while the parents and Madame Maublanc’s sister and her husband chatted.  Jean-Victor and Adam chatted about politics, which did not surprise me as Jean-Victor is majoring in law studies and my brother would like to go to a law school after he gets his bachelor’s degree.  Marie was so good to Jessica as she made Jessica feel included by asking Jessica several questions.  My family got a taste of a true Basque dish as we ate mussels, cooked mushrooms, and rice.  For dessert, we had an ice cream cake, which was sure very yummy.  Of course, no one would miss the cheeses!
