Sometimes when I attend events or do something, it brings back my memories of something. When I was about 11 or 12 years old, I used to be a big nutcake fan of playing a card game, poker, with my brother, and my friends at recess. We would use our coins as a way to play °bet° in the game. Not to worry, we didn’t gamble in real life. At the end of the game, we always made sure that we got our own money back.
After gobbling up lots of food, Jodi, Luca, Jodi’s husband, Jordan, an Italian man, and I played the card game, poker. Jodi brought a flashy new poker game kit from Dublin and so, we had the opportunity to play with it. So, it’s been about 10 years since I played poker. I faintly remembered how to play with it, but I certainly needed a review. There was one Italian man who was playing poker for the first time and so, it worked out well as I got to review along with him. After about 10 to 15 minutes of getting instructions, we took off playing.
As I was playing, my mind was a little sporadic at first as I was trying to remember how to play it since it has been so many years ago, but that was fine as it was just a fun game, and there was nothing for me to lose. We sure did have fun gambling for lots of money.
BANG! A loud thunder noise crashed! The cloud was completely grey and the storm was about to start.
YIKEEEES! We all immediately carried our stuff into the house. The light in the house was flickering away and then, boom! The light went completely out. Uh oh! So, how could we continue to play poker? A woman brought in a bread with birthday candles on it, and we set it in middle of the table. It worked out well, but it was certainly dangerous as we were passing cards across the table!
Anyways, it was fun. Overtime, we got tired and broke up. During the last hour, the rain stopped, and I went out and did some photographing.
