Just a day at the beach

After Jodi’s 15 days trip to Ireland and my traveling all over Europe in the past three weeks, we definitely needed a rest big time.  So, the whole family and I went to the beach that is about 15 minutes from their home for the entire afternoon and evening.  The beach in Grosetto is not much different from the Basque region as there are mountains right by the beach and they’re both equally magnificent.

Anyways, at the beginning we played vollyball, and I sucked big time as I was watching Jodi’s 5 year-old drama queen daughter, Sofia, goofying away with water games and playing on the tramboline, and I kept missing the ball.  Sofia is the cutest little thing and is a BIG talker like my little sister as she talks non-stop.

After awhile, I quit playing vollyball and went to play some water games with Sofia.

SQUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRSH!  I just got water all over myself as Sofia just squirted some water out from a random plastic bottle.  °HaHa!  HaHa!°  Sofia giggled away.

SPAAAAAAAAASSSHHHHHHHHHHED!  A minute later, I got another big splash on all over myself as Sofia threw a big bucket of water at me.  °HaHa!  HaHa!°  Sofia giggled away.

I grabbed the random plastic bottle and filled it up with water and squirted back at her.  This game continued for awhile until Sofia was ready to dig herself into the ocean.  Good Times!  Great Vibrations!

We went over the ocean, but unfortunately the water was quite dirty and so, we only dug our feet in the water for about five minutes and then headed back to the sand.  I just sat on a beach chair and popped on the white earbuds on my ears and let the music flow into my ears until we were all ready to head out.
