Magnificent Mountains

What makes the Pyrénéenes the most beautiful mountains? Jean-Victor, Marie (his sister), their mom, and I took a drive through the Pyrénéenes. The mountains are just full of lavishing green grass. Having a picnic on the Pyréenes mountains is the most perfect place. Even though I hate hiking, I certainly wouldn’t mind hiking on the Pyrénéenes because it’s so beautiful. I actually hiked a little on top of the Rhune mountain. We stopped at Saint-Jean de Port, a little village with old french and spanish style buildings. As always the buildings are absolutely charming. We stopped at a bakery where I ate a Basque cake. MMMMMM. Basque cake is a speciality cake from the Basque region and it’s absolutely delicious. I will type up the recipe when I return so that you can make it! Afterwards, we crossed the border to Spain and stopped at a Spanish restuarant where I ate pork, epinards, and flan – Spanish’s speciality. Flan is a pastry that is similar to crême brulée. Afterwards, we drove through the Pyréenes to their house.
