A Treasure of Provence

While Provence is like Tuscany in many ways as both regions of big hills, cypress trees, sunflowers, homes made of concrete, and some mountains, Provence is still a unique region in some way.  Everywhere I go, there are radiant violet lilacs, a treasure that makes Provence special.  Even in areas where there are lots of buildings, lilacs can still be found in bushes resting by the buildings.

“Take some lilacs and rub them in your hand, ” Nicolas, the son of the host family, showed me a demonstatration on how to use lilacs as a perfume for our hands.  How neat was that?!  Now, I don’t have to worry about bringing perfume when I’m visiting Provence!
