Picnic in the countryside

The wind is making my hair move all over my head, but it’s wonderful to feel the cool breeze. Even though there is very little sun, seeing the clouds overcastting the sun above the ocean is beautiful as there are all kinds of grays, blues, and purples in the sky. The grass vibrates along with the wind. I’m standing by a sea cliff and my surroundings seem familiar as if I was just here yesterday. The sea cliff, the grass, and the mountains all look completely familiar. I begin to flashback my memories of my previous summers in Bayonne. I begin to remember that on my very last day of the trip, I was in the car with my friends, the Maublancs, and we were taking a scenic drive through Pays Basque region. As we were driving, I came across a very beautiful scene, and I said, “Woah! Qu’est-ce que c’est beau ici!” That means “How beautiful is that” in French. Jean-Victor stopped the car, and Marie and I got out of the car to photograph this beautiful scenery place. This beautiful scenery place is where I am right now, having a picnic with my friend, Anais, her boyfriend, Simon, and his friend.

Beforehand, we went to a supermarket where we got all sorts of food for the picnic. When I entered the supermarket, all the wonderful familiar smells came to me. Fresh cheeses took over a huge section of the food store along with a huge section of variety of meat including Basque region’s special ham and beef. One another area was loaded with fish since the Basque region is located right by the ocean. Bottles of wine took up several isles since many families in France drink wine daily for dinner. I sat in the cart and Anais and Simon pushed me around the supermarket like as if I was in a Disney World park ride. We grabbed all sorts of food and filled up the cart.
