Like I said, my host family is absolutely wonderful and they’re the nicest people! The dinner was just as I expected – VERY FRENCH. First, we had salad and ravoli which they were quite delicious. After the meal, the family served a fabulous plate of cheese – my most favorite food in the world! There were six kinds of cheese ranging from goat cheese to Brie and of course, all of the cheese were new to me. So that was cool. Of course, as always, I had cheese with fresh baguettes – it was just delicious. I thought the cheese was actually the desert – NOT! My host parents brought a plate full marvelous, tasty, and the most divine strawberries. Believe or not, I never eat strawberries; however, I do in France! There is NO comparison between the American and the French strawberries. The Americans just taste yucky and plain, French taste like candy. Yes, obviously it’s REALLY REALLY good. In addition to the strawberries, I had vanilla cream with it and my goodness, I was going crazy! I could NOT stop eating the strawberries! What makes the French strawberries so good?
