I’m walking through crowded narrow streets. As I walk through, I smell something really sweet as if it’s perfum or soap. As I turn my head to the sides to see what’s selling on the tables, I see magnificent periwinkle blue lavenders. “Hmmmm, should I get some to put in my room to enjoy the smells for the next few weeks,” I thought. I just continued to walk as there was so much to see. Then I smell something as if a cake just came out of an oven. There were tables filled with various pasteries and bread. It was very tempting to get a piece of a bakery, but I was so good not to get any as I need to shed off a few pounds. As I continue to walk, I see many beautiful artsy items such as paintings, hats, house decorations, and ceramics. I love looking at items made by artisans. They are great gifts and make my home more beautiful, and they are also great sources for inspiration. I saw a beautiful painting of a scenery in Provence. “Man! I want to do a painting just like that!” I said to myself. Now, I feel really motivated to get out and draw a beatiful scenery of Provence. I’m sure that I’ll do some in one of my classes.
I was just at a market in Apt, a city near Lacoste. In fact, the market in Apt is the longest running market in France. It’s been around since Middle Ages. This market is held every Saturday in Apt. It’s just a fantastic market, and I will be making more trips there every Saturday. I can’t wait until next Saturday!
