An Old Bridge

What’s so amazing about Provence is that not only that I can study French art, but also Roman art, especially in the city of Arles.  About 3 miles from Apt, there is an old bridge called Pont Julien that was built around 3 BC by the Romans.  For your information, the word “Pont” means bridge. The bridge was named after Julius Cesar.  The bridge is made of limestone blocks which were from the mountains in the Luberon region.  To my amazement, the bridge is still resting in a perfect shape today, especially the fact that it was built over two thousands years ago!
