I hopped onto the water taxi with my suitcase and sat in the very back of the boat where the roof was opened so that I could see a whole new world. The boat took off a few minutes later and traveled through a narrow canal where I saw the typical European old charming buildings on both sides. The canal was so narrow that it was hard for the boats to travel through like blood trying to travel through a clogged artery. Then, a few minutes later, the boat finally escaped the narrow canal like blood has escaped the clogged artery. As soon as the boat escaped the clogged canal, the boat was able to move freely and wonder around in the large space of water. Water taxis, gondolas, and other kinds of boats were coming in and out from other canals. A flashback memory was turned on in my mind. I was thinking about “It’s a small world” ride from the Disney World. In this ride, we take a boat through a land of fantasy. Venice totally reminded me of this ride. I felt like I was in a majestic amusement park, but Venice is surely an unique city! Venice is entirely full of canals and boats. There are no roads nor cars on this city!

Then, the boat turned into a congested canal and eventually arrived to the closest destination to the hotel. As always, the boat could not take us to the front of the hotel like the bus could not take us to the front of the hotel in Florence and Rome. Venice surely had a valid excuse as the hotel was in middle of the land and vehicles were not allowed on the land. So, again, we trenched through the city with our suitcases. To make this matter even worse, there was a bridge that we had to walk over, and this bridge was not a smooth and curvy bridge. This bridge had stairs, and thus, we had to carry, not wheel, the suitcase over the bridge to get to the hotel. This is what I am talking about. When we travel, we should not pack more than one suitcase, and it should be lighter than the maximum weight for the airplane. Traveling with a heavy suitcase through all three cities was not easy!
