Lots of Gems

While my hometown, Atlanta, has five malls within 20 minutes from my house, Lacoste has quite a few open air markets within 20 minutes from its location.  While Apt is one of the places that has a market, there is another village called Isle sur la Sorgue, which is not too far from Lacoste that has an incredible market that does not only sell provençal items, but also antiques.

As I walked through the market, I was amazed by the incredible collection of antiques including paintings, jewelry, furniture, plates, cups, and prints.  While these items may seem like they’re a piece of a junk, but many of them can become a great decoration for a house.  Some of my friends brought a few prints and plan to frame them, which will become a great decoration for their walls.  In fact, some of the students who are majoring in Jewelry Design brought a few jewelry pieces and plan to turn them into a whole new set of jewelry.  How cool is that?!  For people who like to investigate money, some of these items sure did have good values, and so, we could buy them now and store them for a few years and sell them at a higher price, which would give us profit!

There is a particular item that I always find at a market like this one and at some of the boutiques intrigues me.  It’s a hand towel that is in a circular shape.  I’ve never seen a hand towel designed in a circular shape in United States.  I think it’s a fascinating and an unique design.  The design seems to work well for the kitchen as there is a little hook in the middle of the circle, and we can just hang the towel easily on any hooks!

Isle sur la Sorgue reminded me of Venice in some way as there is a little river that runs through the town and the buildings rest right by the river.  It’s a beautiful scenery.

Rachel,
What I was trying to tell you is that Samantha and Nellie are being RETIRE! American Girl is being stupid enough to pull Samantha out of the doll collection! Are they being stupid? Mom and I brought a lot of Samantha’s stuff online today.

P.S I’M SERIOUS!
