The Highlight of Besançon

All I knew that I was going to go to bunch of museums today in this little area called the Citadel of Besançon.  Citadel of Besançàn is a fortress that was built between 1668 and 1711, and it was a small town on top of a mountain.  Today, it’s a one-stop tourist attraction that is filled with different kinds of museums including Museum of Franche-Comte, Resistance and Deportation Museum , and Museum of Evolution.

After visiting all these museums, I decide to go up this lengthy stairs that was resting by one of the walls that was surrounding the fortress.  As soon as I headed up the stairs, I was blown away by an incredible view of the city of Besançon.  The are mountains everywhere, and the Doubs River flows right through these mountains.  I can’t describe the scenery any better than my own pictures can describe.
